Recently Processed Collections at ONE

As mentioned in previous newsletters, ONE Archives at the USC Libraries is proud to be the recipient of a generous grant from the National Historical Publications & Records Commission (NHPRC).  Through this grant, we will be able to catalog and make accessible hundreds of collections never before available to the public.

And things are moving along fast!  ONE has already processed more than 60 collections through the NHPRC grant, and researchers are now able to access…

…manuscripts and drawings from the Underground Erotic Graphics and Literature Collection, anonymously (and crudely) published collection of gay male erotic short stories created between the 1940s-80s.  Sometimes with illustrations, sometimes not, these short fictional works were photocopied numerous times and distributed secretly as result of growing censorship in the 1950s…
