Israeli spare time culture, with its discos, clubs and parties, is aware of dance music. Dance music is popular where ever people come just to dance. The best proof of the ability of local musicians to conribute to the dance music scene is Danna International, also known by the name Yaron Cohen. Her shows are full of youth, and her songs are played over in the radio, parties and clubs.

Many people dance to the hard beat of "100% man" (Me'a Achuz Gever), the humoristic intonation of "some girls are" (Yeshnan Banot), the ethnic beat of "My Name is Not Saida" (Saida Sultana) and the romantic sounds of "I Cannnot Live Without You". (Ani Lo Yechola Bil'adecha)

Danna took part in the competition of the KDAM Eurovision (Pre-eurovision) with the song Laila Tov Eropa, (Good Night Europe) which took second place. She started her career 3 years ago, and she gained lot of popularity in USA and Egypt.

One of her well known hits is the cover version to the song of the army band "Yeshnan Banot". The song tells about a decent young lady who refuses to dress attractively, and appeal to men, because she is just not "like it".

It's not an accident that Danna chose this song of all the beautiful Israeli pop folk songs to perform, since Danna was born as a... man. Still, every time her name is mentioned in show business, someone remembers to tell "and here we have a guy/girl... frankly, I don't really know". Danna, on the other hand, feels free to sing "I can't live without you" to her man, which is "100% man".
