Nick’s dedication to organizing within and alongside queer communities led him to join the ONE Archives Foundation, Inc.
He graduated from the University of San Diego with a BA in Ethnic Studies in 2016. As an undergraduate student, Nick was awarded departmental honors for his scholar-activism, which culminated in an auto-ethnographic thesis project examining whiteness and critiquing white supremacy within LGBTQ communities. He was a recognized student leader on campus, immersing himself in different community settings and mentorship roles.
Recognizing the importance of affirming the experiences and perspectives of queer youth, Nick cultivates a brave and uplifting environment through his youth mentorship role at the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach. In addition, he organizes his family and friends at various community justice events in a commitment to envision, work toward, and practice justice in their daily lives.
As the Education and Outreach Assistant, Nick looks forward to providing assistance and support for the Education and Outreach Department’s various activities, programs, events, and communications in addition to the operation of the ONE Gallery. His hobbies include hiking, dreaming, reading, and sampling different tea!
